Nepal Government and media organizations Website are at risk of being hacked by hackers.
A group called “Hacker Genius Army” has issued a threat to hack Nepali Government and media websites. They have previously claimed responsibility for hacking the Routine of Nepal Bandh app, as well as Naya Patrika and Nagarik Daily. Currently, they have issued a similar threat through Telegram channels.
The group has mentioned targeting the websites of the Internal Revenue Department, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Company Registrar’s Office, the Supreme Court, Kantipur, Kathmandu Post, the Federal Parliament, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Spokesperson of the Cyber Bureau and Deputy Inspector Pashupatikumar Rai has stated that they will conduct an investigation and take necessary action against the individuals involved. “If such threats arise, we will intensify the process of investigation and enforcement,” he said.
