In lightsaber combat, Cal Kestis now has access to five unique stances, including the single and double-blade stances from Fallen Order. The dual-wield blade attack, initially a special move, is now its own stance. Additionally, a Kylo Ren-style crossguard lightsaber stance requires precise timing for blocking and parrying. The blaster stance allows for a combo of lightsaber and blaster attacks.

These stances are strategically used against different enemy types. A new Force stasis ability lets players freeze foes and blaster bolts mid-air. Cosmetic customization options for Cal’s outfit, hairstyle, and facial hair have been greatly expanded. A white lightsaber blade color option is now available.

The game’s level design features larger maps with more NPCs. The planet Koboh serves as a central hub, offering increasingly open pathways with each revisit. Optional areas contain valuable upgrades. Fast travel is possible at meditation points, but it’s not essential for progression.
